About

Mary Warwick began performing clean comedy three years ago after recovering from cancer and deciding to try new things. A lifelong writer, she found the transition to writing comedy came naturally—but stepping on stage was challenging.

“I don’t have a stage background,” Mary admits. “My hobbies have always been sports-related. Performing comedy feels like shooting a foul shot with no time on the clock—for the entire time I’m on stage.”

Mary draws her material from her family, everyday observations, and life as a 6’1” woman in a world that often comes up short. She describes her style as a mix of Erma Bombeck, Mad Magazine, and her dad—a cowboy who always had a quick quip or comeback ready. With that mix of influences, Mary has found her own comedic voice and a deep appreciation for the craft of stand-up comedy.

“Performing has been such a positive experience,” she says. “I’ve met great people, performed in places I didn’t know existed, and made audiences laugh. Quite frankly, I’m a lot happier performing comedy than not.”
